The registration for the Sophomore Module closed yesterday with 77 students registering. This is a record number and up 97% from last year’s 39 sign ups. The number of module takers has been steadily increasing each year, but this is unprecedented. We look forward to working with students and finding out their motives for applying.
Students taking this module analyse their needs, set goals and make a learning plan with help from their learning advisor (LA). After making a plan and meeting with their LA, the students follow the plan for 8 weeks, doing 2-3 hours of extra independent work. They write reflections and details each week and document their work. LAs write comments on the work each week and help the students to achieve their goals. Students successfully completing a Sophomore Module are eligible to receive up to ten point onto the relevant class grade.
