Call for winter workshops

SBDuring the winter break the SALC offers workshops in order to encourage learners to use the SALC and think about their learning over the break. In 2017 the workshops will be held on Thursday 19th, Friday 20th, Thursday 26th and Friday 27th January.

Remuneration for running a one-off workshop is 10,000 yen a time. You can see some of the recent workshops on the “Let’s Study English” website under “past workshops” (http://elisalc.org/category/past-salc-workshops/). Continue reading

SALC Survey results (2). Learning facilities and services: What do respondents do in the SALC?

This is the second post featuring the SALC survey results. A survey was administered to KUIS students in July 2016 in order to get their input on various facilities and support in order to inform improvements when we move to Building 8. Over the coming weeks, we will share some of the results on this news blog and on the student Facebook page.

A SALC survey was administered to KUIS students in July 2016 in order to get their input on various facilities and support in order to inform improvements when we move to Building 8. Who completed the survey?

261 students completed the survey. There were students from all years and departments represented. In addition, there were regular SALC users and students who claimed to never use the SALC.
